I have been meaning to post on this for a bit, and always just seemed to forget. Awhile ago I found a blog written by a waiter in NYC named WaiterRant. It is very well written, and gives you a small idea of what it is like to work in the service industry. It is definitely worth reading the archives, but it takes a long time.

Great link! I've never done actual waitressing, but my senior year (and all my school breaks now), I work as a catering waitress. Food service SUCKS. lol.
