Catholic Nerd Game round XII
I'm all set for another week of the game. If I do some more creative googeling, I can probably keep it going for three more weeks. Today's saint took the easier of the two ways to heaven, and it looks like he had a really bad half hour.

Oh man! I've never seen this pic before! But I know who it is...knife in the head and a dagger in the heart, the martyr's palm - this Domician has it all going on. haha

Though he is an Italian saint, the painting looks German...is it?
No, the painting was done by an Italian Studio. It wasn't of the Saint initially, hence the expression. It was just a portrait of a Dominican. Later the hatchet, dagger, and palm were added.
